That's true. Of course, female Kzin were bred to become less and less intelligent until, at the time of the stories Larry Niven wrote, they could do little more than eat and give birth.

I had forgotten that bit. It's been over 25 years since I've read much Larry Niven.

The Louis Wu arc of his Known Space stories really fascinated me. I haven't read any of Larry's stories in a few years but, I did read a story called, I believe, "Treasure Planet". It brought many of these aspects to the reader. I guess the author assumed that the reader may not have read any of Larry's older works.

Cute drawing. Interesting character, too. Those ears remind me of a species that Larry Niven created for his series of books. The species was/is called the Kzin. They are always drawn with ears resembling these.
