Ruki is a female Nevrean born in Gold Ring. Her feathers are dark, in a shade of blue that's almost gray, just like her beak. Her "hair" is kept in a side-cut and she has a stern looking face.

Ruki had a difficult life, being a female Nevrean in Gold Ring, where only recently her species have been recognized as humans and received human rights. She had a hard time finding decent jobs that paid enough for a living and more than once she thought about joining the bandit group of Nevreans, the Out Ring. What kept her from doing that was her mate, Myku. She couldn't just abandon her partner to his own luck.

Everything changed when Myku met Aaron, who was then only an aspiring stylist. The sergal needed some skilled hands to help him with his clothing business and Myku suggested Ruki for the job. She was unsure about it at first, knowing that sergals and agudners have always mistreated nevreans, specially females, but her partner swore that Aaron was different and would never treat her badly. After all, they met each other during a Sabi no Wa meeting, so this sergal was far more interested on the nevrean well-being than most of his species.

Nowadays, Aaron runs a fine clothes shop along with Ruki, who's his tailor. They might not be super rich, but at least this job pays much more and it's much better than the usual low-class, heavy-work jobs that people leave for the female nevreans in Gold Ring.
