Collab w/Naoki - Kittybot Repairs 01 by farorenightclaw (critique requested)
Farore has been damaged, but with a little tinkering, the self-repair systems can be jump started again...
A gorgeous commission Naoki did for me, one of two. He gave me permission to color them, so here's the first one finished up. This was soooo much fun to work on and a great challenge with Naoki's ultra-detailed lines. I love how he made Farore's design more functional looking - stuff I'll incorporate in future drawings of it, most likely. And of course all dat robogore~
There's a personal meaning to this and the next one; something about being broken, fixing yourself, and being helped by the ones that love you most.

Oh gosh how incredible! The lines are indeed so complex, but your coloring only adds to that complexity and brings it more to life! I also like the metaphor of being broken, then fixed by others and brought back… only to be stronger by the love of those around you… at least that's how I see it. I like this so much, such a wonderful message and such a fun way to illustrate it. I love that it's such a soft and touching metaphor taught through a dark and slightly morbid image. Though I honestly find this damn awesome. I love robo stuff, Beast Wars and Transformers was what got me into furries, so I have a soft spot for bots and robo things. So Farore being all robo-fied lately has made me excited. One day I gotta draw her for yous <3

As tempted as I am to repeat my Dem Bones reference, I must admit that seeing Farore splayed open and forced to tinker with its own innards is rather a harrowing sight.
