Hybrid Toxophilite by Eskiworks

Hybrid Toxophilite

Eskiworks

Commission for Nevermint of his wolf/deer hybrid, Jager! This time Jager is featured in archery gear, generally being badass. I went stupidly overtime on this because I wasn't able to sit down and just power through like I usually do. With only a half an hour to a couple hours of work time between family/holiday obligations, it was tough to concentrate. So while this normally would have taken one or two days, it dragged WAY out. I have lost track of the hours, but it's definitely over time. XD

P.S. the title means "A student or lover of archery"

Some hours (maybe 10) in Photoshop with an Intuos 3 tablet

        It's like terribad cause i was really young, but yeah. ^_^ DeerDogs are cool! And I love that you replied back. I never get replies ever, especially on FA.

          Well, this ain't FA so there you go! ;) I have no clue how old the Jager suit is, but I remember seeing him first in person at FC 2008, and online before that.

    Nicely done. Impressive character.

    I notice you made the stance and everything correctly... Did you practice archery?

      Back in high school I did it for class, but that was 12 years ago and we had little to not instruction. I just looked up how it's done so I could get it right for the painting, instead of assuming how it would look. References for the win!

      I should add though, that I am saving up for my own bow, so my increased interest helped a lot. ^^;

        yeah you really nailed it, that's exactly how it's done x3

        what kind of bow are you looking for? I use recurves, so if you want one I can tell you which ones are good :3 I know a little bit about compounds too, but not as much haha

        and forgot to mention, this is just as good as ever, perfect work ^^
