Apparently I was intending to make a character out of [this rabbit] I drew a few years back. While he'd be featured in my art a couple more times, I ultimately didn't do much with him.

Anyway, this is my first attempt at digitally colored art. Program of choice: "Gimp". It was free, and more powerful than MS Paint. And although it's more complicated than I'd like, I still use it from time to time.

I had trouble getting the muzzle to not look like this big...swelly thing. So I went back to that old notebook of mine and did some practice sketches of his head. Probably should've done that with a lot of my pics. Nothing helps improve your art more than drawing the same thing over and over again. Still, I think I could've done well with a couple more "over agains" before finishing this up.

This was probably more of an experiment than anything else. So many people were doing digital art with good results, and I wanted to see if I could handle it. This is a rather plain-looking picture, but for my first attempt at ditital coloring, I guess it's okay.
