Hah! You certainly gave me food for thought!
And yes, I chose to germanize this already germanic name. It is a small part of a bigger attempt to give this whole Avian civilization the impression of a German/Austrian baroque-like civilization as it would more efficiently incorporate the idea of a futuristic feudal/monarchy regime.How much I succeeded in that regard, only the readers can judge.
