This is a badge that one of my best RL friends, MikuAaparo, did for me for this year's FWA theme, Moulin Rouge.

I titled it this way because I learned from that pregnancy was a very delicate and taboo topic back in the heydays of Moulin Rouge, that even the Bohemian culture had yet to explore. Public display of pregnancy was shunned, and saying a woman was pregnant was equal to a racial slur in terms of social etiquette. Maternity clothing was large and cumbersome, and hid the pregnant belly rather than embellished it. So here Dixie is, heavy with fawn and still very much active in the club scene. For the safety of her baby, she does not dance and she certainly will not have sex for pay, but she maintains her position as a flirt and server at her place of work.

Sometimes, even the quiet girls can be rebels in their own way.
