NOTICE! I would like to point out that in NO WAY that the following art piece is a FANART! It is an inspiration from the video game Folklore. If you haven’t heard of it, you’re missing out on a rare game gem exclusively on the Playstation 3 and it was one of the first launch titles too.

The Story

This may sound stupid but this is an old art piece in which I was supposed to color back in I think 2007 or 2008, maybe more, I can’t remember. You’re thinking, “HOLY CRAP!! That’s a long time to color an art piece!!” Yes, it sure is, but I had my reasons and the main one was that I did not know a thing about color/drawing. All I ever knew was how to photo-manipulate and that was my limit.. So I thought. Hell I remember the day when I first got my Wacom tablet, I was so excited to actually use it but instead, I used my Wacom Intious 3 6x8 as a mouse to play Counter Strike with it. LOOL!! I didn’t get to use it the way it should be!! XD So I packed it up and threw it in the closet and completely forgotten about it.

It wasn’t until that I have gotten my iPad 3 in summer of 2012 that I actually started drawing again. Only this time, I was actually taking my drawing seriously at professional level and slowly I started building my confidence in drawing. Next thing you know it, I was cleaning my closet and found… you guessed it. My old Wacom tablet. Sitting there collecting dust. I picked it up, cleaned it and got the driver installed on my comp and the darn thing works!! :D

Then it hit me… Now that I have built up good confidence in my drawing, I wanted to resurrect some old art pieces which I was suppose to paint/color with my Wacom tablet! I started digging through my old hard drive and found an old sketch which was half way done and OMG the coloring was so bad! However, all hope was not lost and that I am so glad that I made a duplicate layer of the original sketch back then with the exact resolution and size intact. After cleaning the sketch and prepping it, I decided as my first digital coloring in 7 years to be my awesome friend :iconBlitz32: fantasy creature. I still love the sketch design of this because it reminded of Folklore the video game which was and STILL IS the original art drive!

The whole thing took me a while because, my goodness I have so much tools and power at my disposal!! It was unbelievable! After finally settling down, I finally focused on the art goal. Here it is! Enjoy!
