Estrella is a police woman who while usually wants to have fun and love life also goes out of her way to fight crime, since there's no fun if criminals ruins society, and she's get the urge needing to fight someone and climb the ladder among the force.

She's had memories of a coyote walking past her family's (actually adoptive family) farm and seems to have watched her. That coyote was even seen to be walking on two legs and walk like a human.
She was told by her mother and father that she may have seen Huehuecoyotl and told her that the gods of the Aztecs as well as other gods exists and that they sometimes visits the human world to perform miracles and wonders, or sometimes to perform pranks for shits and giggles (they didn't use those exact words, but you know what I mean).

What she didn't know was that the reason why Huehuecoyotl visited the farm was to make sure she was growing up alright since she's his daughter.

Even though she's the daughter of a trickster so does she try to make right in the world.
