Well, this is more or less my process during the making of "The Emperor's Joy". I drew this as a present for a dear friend's birthday.

There are like 2343274 more steps I took for the coloring part but obviously I wasn't going to post them all here lol. This was a lot, lot of work, I can't believe I actually managed to finish it on time.
