Ploog by chrisgoodwin

Ploog

chrisgoodwin

2009.

Not the random name it might seem, but named for Mike Ploog, who did all the design (though clearly after Vaughn Bodé) and such for Ralph Bakshi's esoteric animated opus Wizards (1977). See it, if you don't know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I had this on my mind at the time.

This is really fun, I really like these letterforms. Particularly the J!

The 70s fantasy feel is really strong with this set! I admit I thought of Roger Dean first, even though his type tends to be significantly more angular.

All this typography stuff is really cool. Ever consider making these letter sets into actual fonts?
