Rose walked quietly down the corridor of the palace. The place was vast and disorienting sometimes she’d take a wrong turn and end up in another torture chamber. She’ll have to ask Aidoneus how many torture chambers he had. She opened the door to a room she kept her eyes closed then opened them quickly. She was in the kitchen. “Oh finally.” she muttered as she walked in.

“My Lord Aidoneus.” A tall demon mumbled as he bowed.

She looked at the demon bowing, he had a black chef hat on and she looked at him curiously. “I’m not Aiden, I’m his fiancé.” She said to the demon.

The demon looked up and stared at her. “Rose.”

She stumbled back and ran into a rack of cooking utensils. “S-sorrow!”

He growled softly at his sister. “You... you did this to me.”

She shook her head. “No, you did this to yourself. I warned you. I told you that I’d reap you.”

“You did, and I want to thank you.” He grabbed her hoof and kissed her. “Sweet loving sister. You made me feel needed. I make food here and every demon loves it. What brings you to my kitchen?”

“Sorrow...” she said.

“Pestilence.” He corrected her.

“I am not sure if I want you to make food with the name like that.”

Sorrow smiled at her. “I make delicious cuisine. The finest chefs in all Equestria cannot compare themselves to my cuisine. I’ll make food to absolutely die for.”

“I’d rather not die.” She whispered.

Sorrow grinned. “You wouldn’t, would you? Aidoneus has chosen you for his bride may I ask you why?”

“It’s a long story.” She said.

“Sister, I have centuries.” He summoned a couple chairs. “Sit.”

She sat down. “I’m still mad at you.”

“I’m mad at our brother, so all is even.” Sorrow replied.

“Why are you mad at Discord?”

“He ruined my plans to make his son into my replacement. I’ve been punished for my failure.”

“Paradox wouldn’t make a good Pestilence. He has a pure soul.” She said. “I have seen their souls Sorrow, Discord’s children would represent elements of harmony than discourse.”

“Ironic don’t you think?” Sorrow replied.

“Discord wasn’t too good at chaos to begin with.” She chuckled. “He fell in love.”

Sorrow looked away. “I wanted his wife.”

Rose frowned. “You’re an ass. You always wanted something others had. Greedy ass. It’s a wonder you hadn’t been killed before I reaped you.”

He nodded. “I’m glad it was you.”

She sat up. “Misery and I wept for you.”

“And Discord?”

“He built your pyre.” She whispered as she looked away. “He didn’t mourn you. At least I don’t think he did. Misery took it worse.”

“I loved Misery. She made me feel… needed.” He whispered.

She made a face. “Gross. She’s your sister.”

“And you’re marrying a demon. Tell me, is he any good in bed?” Sorrow grinned evilly as he showed rows if sharp shark-like teeth.

“We haven’t shared a bed yet.” She blushed as she looked away.

“Saving yourself for the wedding night?” He asked.

She bit her bottom lip. “We had been together a long time ago. Just we never really had intercourse. Just lots of pleasure.” She kept blushing.

He sat back as he looked at his sister. “You mean to tell me, you and Aidoneus never had sex?”

“Yes. That’s what I’m telling you.” She felt her cheeks burning more.

Sorrow loved seeing her uncomfortable. “Are you scared?”

She looked at him. “No. If I was scared I wouldn’t be here. I love Aidoneus.”

“That’s my girl.” Aidoneus said as he appeared behind her.

Sorrow stumbled off his chair and bowed quickly. “My Lord.”

“Ah, a family reunion, you two are getting along I’m hoping?” He asked as he placed his paws on Rose’s shoulders.

Sorrow looked up. “As well as a brother and a sister can be, even if the sister reaped the brother.”

Aidoneus grinned. “Good. Rose my love… I wanted to know if you’d like to watch me tend to the pit of vipers this evening.”

She smiled at him. “Aiden I’m not sure if I’d enjoy it as much as you. I guess I’ll pass tonight. I really need to talk about the wedding preparations with Sorrow and some other demons. I’ll also have to go top side for my wedding dress.”

“Pestilence.” Sorrow muttered under his breath to correct his sister.

Aidoneus looked at him. “She wants to call you by your given name, you let her.”

Sorrow cringed. “Yes, my Lord.”

“Rose you want to go into the mortal realm for your wedding dress?”

She nodded. “Yes. I really need to see other ponies like me. I know of an excellent dress maker too.”

“Alright, anything for you. I’ll send some demon to go with you.” Aidoneus stated, he looked around and then looked at Pestilence. “You’ll go with her.”

“What?” They both asked at the same time.
