    what's the asterisk for

Usually it means multiple suffixes. So... transmale, transfemale, etc.

That symbol looks like it'd make a silly throwing star style thing! :D

It's a shame that in a fandom with such a high % of gender variant people that we still have idiots who fap to hypersexual and unrealistic intersex characters on the sly but see real transfolk as a threat to their prudish sensibilities. I would love to see a large part of the fandom take a more active stand against the bigots, like websites actually enforcing their policies against harassment and hate speech. You'd think it was still the days of Christine Jorgensen the way people wave their ignorance around without anyone willing to call them out.

People who take a stand tend to get laughed out. I feel like that's why there's a much higher ratio of trans and other gender variant people on Weasyl in comparison to FA.

I've noticed. It's like reddit vs. Tumblr. But then I've noticed a lot of things are just off since I transitioned. Some things you just don't appreciate until you've crossed the bridge.

I guess. Tumblr tends to be pretty toxic on the trans social front though. Weasyl for the most part has been pretty pleasant.

I do not understand the aversion to transgenderism in this fandom (or many highly sexual communities). Rainbow means everybody, and should be all inclusive.
