Sphinxes are always cool.
There's a reason meancatface is fiddly. When >'s the first character of a line, it thinks you're writing a quotation or reply:
If you 'escape' the > by putting a \ (backslash) before it - \>:3 - it'll work:
>:3
It would be better not to have to know this, but there's always a compromise with these systems.
