Another bit of influence/development when working on the Doublemoof, these two pages are what came of early discussions with Ludocrow when trying to plot out what kind of character she'd be. Earlier drafts were... considerably rougher, starting from an ogre and working backwards. Little of this actually survived past the concept, in part because it hewed a little too close to the original Balina story; world-changing magical event happens, unassuming dork ends up big powerful warlady. Tale as old as time, really.

It wasn't the direction I really wanted to go with the character (and I'm very happy with how the doublemoof ended up coming out at the end), but this was at least worth a couple of sketches. These were going to be touched up a little, but unfortunately the originals were lost; these early scans are all that remains.
