Are you influenced by/playing on actual TV detectives here? I fancy I see a bit of Inspector Montalbano in centre bottom.

Nothing in particular actually. I just sorta thought of the general image of "detective" in my head, either the young ones on TV in CSI, etc. or the grizzled ones who became alcoholics later. The last ones I thought of were from British/Swedish crime dramas on TV, so I made a few that aren't standard Hollywood attractive.
