Every year the local carving club I belong to holds a show at our mall called the People's Choice. Each year we pick a theme and certain guidelines and then place members entries on a table for mall goers to vote on which they like best. This was my entry =) I plan to give this to my grandfather for Christmas, he loves eagles and is a Vietnam Vet.
I am not too fond of the feathers on his body, but they are growing on me. I kinda waited until the last minute to finish them up, calling it quits at 4am the night of the show LOL I won't know if I win until our club Christmas dinner in December, but I think I have a good shot =D

I am not crazy patriotic either =P Even though I was the one to suggest it for our theme that year LOL It just sounded like something everyone in the club could do and would get peoples attention at the show we do this for, a lot of people are crazy proud to be Americans and dig that sort of thing. Participation is a hard thing to get those members to do for some reason, but we had a good turn out!
