if anything it's probably more like a constant discounted commission other people don't get to take advantage of by not being a patreon?
tho i do have a freebie raffle that when i hit a certain amount a month, i do a random art giveaway for a nice quality pictureidk if it's really like worth discussing the semantics of it though

Dunno, Patreon just seems like a complete rip off as an art collecting enthusiast, but to support the artist that you enjoy would be another thing. I get the idea behind it and how it's an awesome thing, it's just not convenient for a person who's on the everlasting expedition for collecting art from various artists and that you HAVE to use it for a CHANCE at being drawn, so in theory, you could sink $1000 into an artist via Patreon and have never gotten art. I'm sure I'm going to suffer a lot of flame for this, but that's just how I perceive it to be.

yeah but ... i open commissions regularly, and it's a special thing for people to see my wip work, experimental stuff and things i don't feel comfortable posting to fa/da/wzl bc it's too unfinished, and gives a glimpse
like there's more to it than just free art grabs lol

HI THERE just putting in my two cents but technically Ali doesnt even need to add these in-- shes doing them more as a bonus for those contributing to her patreon. Technically she could just tell everyone all they get is the exclusive contents but she's doing this because it's a nice thank you and a good fun thing for her to do. It's kind of odd to debate how free something is when she's in no way obligated to do said thing, you know? buuut that's my thoughts on the dealeo.
