So I did that remake thing.
I think it came out really well. :)

The original canon even around the first picture was that it was a forced painting that Chaujen's family forced him to pose for. Now with this newer version I realized I should also have the items he holds be related to the symbolism that the Wahs within the mana tear use. The noble family he is from is definitely a part of the...more imperialistic...nation of Wahs on the mana tear. So art produced by the nation has to support the nation, the hoop symbolizes unity of country the mountain centered in it eternity, the sword military might.

Since then Chaujen effectively ran away from home and is on the effective far side of the landmass from them now.
