Skeleton

AC

I was originally doing a series of 'anatomical' drawings that were anthro themed but got too busy to continue the idea very farther than a few plates. (There are also some things I would like to change about this and don't have the energy to, at the moment)

I sold some nice prints of this in the art show of AC 2012, so this is a bit dated as well.

    That's pretty awesome! Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you also do "X-Ray" badges a few years back?

      Yup! I did some x-ray / internal view badges. They weren't that popular so I only ended up doing 1 batch of them. I was a little saddened by that xD;

        That's a shame! I actually remember really wanting one when you were doing that promotion, haha. x_x Strange that more people weren't into them...

    Very nice! I've actually been hoping to reverse-engineer the topology of an anthro's skull eventually by sculpting a realistic one and working backwards from documented normal tissue thicknesses.

    Oooh! I would absolutely love to see more of these, especially since you could expand this into an opportunity to make really detailed anthro skeletons to fit more closely to the species. It could double as a creative and educational project.

    Anything to see more of your application of your education and art. The crossover still fascinates me. :)

    That's really impressive! But as an osteologist, there are a number of errors. The bone you have labeled as the parietal is the frontal, and what you have labeled as the occipital is actually two bones, the occipital and parietal. Also, you've got the axis (C2) labeled C1, and have missed labeling the atlas (C1) altogether. The ribs and vertebrae look mostly good, and aside from the usual shenanigans that have to be tolerated for digitigrade bipedalism, those are the only glaring errors. I know this comment sounds like kind of a downer, but despite the errors I really do like this. I had a lot of fun studying it!

      Nope! Not a downer at all. I appreciate the critique :3
