The chimeras are a wondering group of monks, made up of many different races that welcome all who would join them in their meditation, and understanding of magic. They are the only group left on Elancia that worships the Great Creator, an overgod said to have come before all the others, although they do respect the 'smaller' gods that came later.

The Chimeras' name stems from the fact that their core members, who did not join them later on, are bizarre creatures with horns, tusks, and any number of other oddities, such as a pair of voice boxes, and a pair of hearts. Many of them have traits from so many races that it isn't fair to call them anything but what they are -- chimeras. Those who join the chimeras receive the same title, regardless of race. Ultimately, some begin to change and take shapes more reminiscent of those who have been chimeras all their lives.

The Chimeras' primary goal in the world is to stabilize the planet's unbalanced magic, which is slowly ripping the world of Elancia apart, due to the number of gods slain over the past several hundred years. Through meditation, group prayer, and control of their life-energy, the chimeras try to hold a world that shuns them together. Their migratory circle is huge, and they cross oceans to make sure that the world will live on.

There is a deserted Chimera village in season 1. This song does not play there, however. There is no BGM for that area, just wind. :3
